Blues-rock guitarist and accomplished singer-songwriter Mick McConnell has announced an exciting eleven-date UK tour with his band, Blue Thunder, set to kick off on January 3, 2025, at Harrogate’s Blues Bar and conclude with a headline performance at London’s legendary 100 Club on February 11, 2025. This tour marks a major milestone for Mick and his band as they bring their no-nonsense, finely crafted blues-rock sound to audiences across the UK.

With decades of experience in the music industry, Mick McConnell has carved out a notable career. As an in-house songwriter for Warner Chappell and the lead guitarist for Bradford’s iconic band Smokie, Mick’s talent has taken him around the world. His solo work has also garnered widespread acclaim, with his 2017 album “Under My Skin”—produced by Grammy-winner Blue Miller—reaching #13 on the European Blues Chart.
In 2023, Mick formed Blue Thunder to bring his brand of blues-rock to live audiences. The band has since become a staple of the UK blues circuit, building a loyal following and consistently earning rebookings for their polished performances.
